While the Garden Overgrew
Mya Kerner & Zak Helenske

April 24–May 30, 2026

Mya Kerner's paintings are rendered loosely, wildly, with oil sticks and hands on a slippery surface of Yupo paper. This raw imagery is a response to shifting seasons, changes in vegetation, celestial passages, the swelling and ebbing of water.

Zak Helenske's sculptures are about action and labor, energy source and energy exhaustion. He finds clarity in the manic activity of an art practice and is grounded by the physical intellectualization of labor, material, and creative research.
